Doors won't open

As crazy as it sounds, I would try closing the door completely first, then try opening it. A lot of times the latches get kinda jammed when partially opened.

I've tried it but haven't been able to get it to shut. I'm about 275 lbs so I'm throwing the weight at it when I'm trying to close it, haha.
