Clutch & pressure Plate for 64 Dart

I don't know about your noise, but, the stock 9 1/2" clutch was adequate for a 273 2bbl, but, not great for higher performance. I like to use the one that comes on a B-series van with a slant 6. It fits the flywheel using Allen head bolts and provides more friction area. The pressure plate has a better design too that is easy to add springs for higher clamping pressure depending on how much horsepower you have. Keep in mind that if you make it a lot stiffer, you may need to beef up the linkage and Z-bar to handle the extra load.
When he purchased the Dart it was changed to a 4-bbl with no problem and many years ago the clutch had no noise, must have been the original clutch. Since them someone worked on the Dart, and not a good thing. A change was done 6 years ago and has the noise now. No one knows what was put in there. Maybe a worn pilot shaft bearing and or bushing or just not the correct clutch
