Drove the 72 Demon (avatar) to a local show...approx 200 cars at this one. Absolutely perfect weather!! Once again, enjoyed meeting and talking with many people there. Plan is to drop the mufflers, put the new slicks on, and take it to the track tomorrow or Sunday.

Well we did take it to the track on Saturday ("test-n-tune" day) to see how the new SPC adjustable UCA's would work. Would the 3 deg of caster I set them to make the car stable going down the track? You bet it did! Dead straight - a real relief that that problem appears to be behind us! (As everyone on here knows, with these old cars, old problems can reappear or new ones crop up at any time!)

Combined with the new M/T slicks, the car left hard, went straight, and actually ran within 0.011 of its personal best. It went an 11.15 at 118.24 mph - and that was in approx 77 deg air, a full 20 deg warmer air than the 11.14 runs last fall. So it was a good outing - can't wait to get it back to the track on race day!
