4 speed mechanism for 69 A body Barracuda with console...

Hi Gents.
Ok let me clarify myself.
From what I know.
The car came restored and with that being a 4 speed car.
I was then told by the seller that the car was originally a console car but he couldn't find the shifter that went with the console of he did get one.
So I went and bought a console from someone I knew and then bought the shifter handle from Brewers.
When the handle got here I was told by the mechanic it was for a bolt on but it would be ok.
They installed it and all was well.
Last year I bought 2 different things that Brewers sells that will allow you to screw your bayonet shifter on to this small metal adapter so you can put in the shifter mechanism as a bolt on (Which I said the 3 holes, I meant to write it had 2 holes I screw the shifter to) Regardless I have not used these parts yet.
The issue I have now is I want to
buy a new mechanism and I just wanted to know exactly which one is on my car.
Its a 1969 A Body Barracuda, 4 speed console car. As well, I'm not sure if the mechanism changes with console or without
Plus I will need to change the linkages as well I was told, as they are used. Are there any other things I may need.
I drive the car as is with really no problems but the shifter feels real loose and this is why I want to change the mechanism part the handle sits in.
Any help with be appreciated
