Small block intake , legally modified for NHRA Super Stock Classes
With floor of plenum modifications as outlined in the Direct Connection Racing, April 1976
In the pic Shadows are preventing seeing the whole modifications
Heat crossovers welded
The floor of the intake removed and an aluminum plate installed, in effect , making it "an air gap" manifold.
Im thinking that I haven't quite seen anything else like it from the early 70's
I don't understand why the nipple from the intake to the water pump was welded shut ? Can't be for weight savings????
