Guess the way to look at it is:
"I had 21 good years with that car, and fortunate to even own it in the first place."
Life is full of uncertainties, beyond our control. Make peace, there is a lot of good living ahead yet. Don't want to end up with past events robbing you of what could be in the future.
Life is not always fair.
One of my favorite saying is:
