Hey MonkeyMadness,
If you still have the original switch, they are stupid easy to fix.
On the back side of the switch you will see 4 tabs holding on the back plate. Bend them up , remove the plate and spray contact cleaner around everything inside. You will probably see hardened grease there. Once you clean out the old grease and other garbage, re-grease with a dielectric grease and reassemble. Should work fine.
