Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

In the late 70's there was a guy at Spokane running his Caddy with the A/C on clipping off wins.
Several times he made it deep in rounds at the World Finals with his slow consistent ride. lol
He also ran a 8 sec altered.

Best bracket car I ever owned, ran 15.32 95% of the passes I made with it. Spent a whole summer in the money with it at Detroit Dragway.
