Don't think so I have ran the same Moroso pan and oil pump for years and never had a problem . for some reason when I got the motor back from the engine builder he said he had to weld the pan , he didn't say why , I don't know what he did to damage it , the pan itself wasn't that old . and my new pan fit with no problems and its the same pan . As a matter of fact I ran the same pan on my R3 block 408 it was just different because of the difference between 340 and 360 mains so the pan is a different part number
