Another question I have is what is the best way of re-fastening the metal base (that supports the lens) to the post?
The picture of the lens in the classic website may not be accurate, but they say it would fit your car. As for affixing the lens, I've never done that so don't have any direct experience. Perhaps someone else could help with that.
