Imo, Unfortunately you will either have to get the car on a lift and take a look or have someone else do it. There's a multitude of loose worn rusted or broken parts that could be the problem. Attempting to diagnose anything like that is mere speculation on a forum where we can't see what's going on (you've not provided even one picture), and you obviously have a serious issue.
