I may have had a few questions answered last night

I've been lucky with my Gen 3 build. Originally built by Tony Bischoff's shop so I can trust the engineering. Did a rebuild last year and had to replace practically everything except intake manifold and heads. Making decent power to get my 2900 pound duster down the 8th mile at 6.35 @108 mph. I agree that EVERYTHING was expensive.
