I may have had a few questions answered last night

Yep, agreed. The parts guy at work asked me how much I paid for my heads & I told him. He said I have 8 sbc aluminum cylinder heads up front that cost less than a set of trick flows. I told him to go away lol
There's one new performance engine I am glad isn't Mopar it's the 5.0 coyote every single cylinder head that has come into the shop needs new intake valves, their design is so bad the heat cycles allow the valve springs to pull the stem higher, tuliped valves and beating the 45° seat into a 90 back cut with a wide 15 ° razor blade seat.
Not jealous of that one lol.
I've never heard that about Coyote. But for some reason it doesn't surprise me. Lol. I remember the old days of pulling apart Ford engines. The V8s that had sludge issues? And that Ford smell?

I have honestly tried to be Ford nice. Because our gang of gearheads were Chevy dominated. But can't understand their thinking when it came to engines. Our lone Ford guy would say: "They are engine families." While I'm asking "Why does Ford have 4 versions of the 351? And none are fully swappable with one another's engine components?"

I ended by saying. "I think their families are a bit dysfunctional?" The Chevy guys of course were FAR more brutal when it came to Fords.
