Road Racing Duster 6.4 Hemi E85 6 speed Ms3 Pro Evo EFI

Hi All,

Just an update. I wanted to change my mind on the drivetrain setup for a bit. I wanted to see what you guys might suggest. Everyone is doing the EFI now and I really miss the raw smell of gas and fidgeting with the carb.

I was thinking about going to a 318-360 whether LA or Magnum and making something like 350-400WHP and racing this.

I know that with both engines that power is easily attainable, but I would like a RPM Redline of like 7k max. I would like to do this budget friendly and run some real R&D in the sense of let's see what these old girls can really do.

I will be using the 6 speed still and have 4.10 rear gears, so the engine setup is basically what's left. The Gen3 is still on the books, but I right now it's on the back burner.

Everything else will be the same, but the engine. So any advice will help. I know that I can buy a bunch of aftermarket stuff and she will live, but I am wanting to do this the hot rod style and throw something together, but willing to do the needed oil mods to the blocks to help. So any advice would be great. I know a lot of you have seen almost every combo done, but I want to take it back for a bit.

I might even throw a stock 69 318 in or magnum 318/360 in and play with it as is for a bit. I just wanted to update you guys that I am still here, but I'm slowing everything down
Based on the pictures I've seen in your thread, you already have the G3, why not wire and fire it? Instead of spending the time and money on building another engine, I'd focus on the G3.
In order to make 400WHP with a stock stroke 5.9, you will need a decent cam and some good heads. You will also likely need a set of pistons to get the compression up. Or, you could just get a stock magnum and throw a supercharger on it and hope for the best.

I've got a soft spot for the LA engines and mine runs pretty damn good. However, I've finally made the decision to go with the G3 and will be moving to that platform soon. I also decided I'll never buy a carburetor ever again after I converted my LA to EFI.
