@mygasser was possibly worried about cutting myself on the sharp edges sticking out?! I might still modify it, but I've had a heater hose blow in this car on the way from L.A. to San Francisco once and now I know that they don't like sharp edges... The bracket is supposed to help the hoses stay in place.
