Evaporust
An Evaporust side note.
I had the chrome air defusers from my 67 dart OEM AC in a bucket of Evaporust. The parts were taller than the level of the evaporust and after 4 hours I took them out and noticed a distinct line across them the side submerged was shiny the other side was dull.
I flipped them around and did the same for the other side no distinct line and both sides were shiny.
I had previously cleaned them with soap and water.
Not sure what the chemical process is that is going on but it's a bit night and day.
I took the diffusers apart (not sure I would do that again but now I'm a pro) and soaked some of the parts and not others. You can see the difference
