What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

The Friday before Xmas I brought home a '64 225 /6 complete with the small block trans adapter plate and an early 727 attached. I bought the whole setup for the /6 to small block trans adapter plate sandwiches between them
when I got home with it, I just backed it into the garage and closed the door. I was gonna tarp it and park it back in the backyard where I keep the trailer when I'm not using it. But it has been raining a bunch around then/ and started up again on my way home with it.
Today my son needed to get into my garage to work on a car. So I hooked up the trailer to the Dakota and pulled it out, and while he worked on his POS (why he bought a VW is beyond me) I straightened up the motor (well as straight as a /6 is supposed to be haha), strapped it to the trailer, robbed the battery out of the dead Durango and set it on the trailer deck, and after I cleaned the points with emery cloth and electrical contact cleaner, then hooked up the battery cables still connected to the engine plus I ran a jumper to the coil "+", with a splash of gas in the carb and a screwdriver between the starter lugs it actually fired up and runs. ..
I was thinking about finding a piece of 5/16 gas line and dropping it into a can of gas, hook it to the fuel pump and see if it'll stay running 4-5 minutes..... Don't want to chance much more with no radiator connected..... Though I have a couple hanging on the wall and this motor actually came with hoses. .. this was a "barn find* that has been on CL on and off for at least a year and 1/2 that I know of .... I have no idea how long it has actually been sitting.
