My old boss bought one brand new. 0-60 in 3 secs. He immigrated from India for a better life. He's a vegan Hindu pacifist that abhors firearms. He makes a lot of money although he is inept and without skills. But he has learned how to look good and make himself look good. And he has learned to talk good, using impressive words but saying or committing to nothing. He is a professional talker and that's all you need to succeed in academia. Still, he has heart and I came to like him.
One of my favorites that has happened many times.
At the weekly 'team' meeting, someone mentions a task that needs done and then proposes a solution that cannot be accomplished by talk. A task that requires actual hands on work. His generic and overused reply: "sounds like a good idea!" Then everyone looks at each other and says nothing. LOL
