ATTN: 67 Dart GT Owners. NEW Rocker trim clips

A couple years ago I stumbled on a rocker trim clips for 64 Ford Galaxie.

67 Dart GT Rocker Trim Clip Substitute (this post has dimensions in it)

It looked like the 67 GT rocker molding trim clips so I bought one.

It measured almost identical.

I lost track of the company I bought it from but the other day I again stumbled on the same clip from Dennis Carpenter

The major difference is the tab on each end

If you cut or grind that tab off, the clip works perfectly for 67 GT Rocker molding.

If you don't take it off it will damage the trim. The trim needs to slip over the top edge and the tab gets in the way.

I put the molding on and it snapped on good and tight.

The only thing I noted was the tabs that lock it to the body might be delicate. As we all know of reusing used ones sometimes the tabs metal fatigue and fall off.

The one I bought 2 years ago did that. These did not but I was very gentile with this one knowing the what happens 2 years ago.

Alternately you could use a small screw and screw the clip to the body.

Either way be sure to seal the hole / holes and rust proof any unpainted surfaces.
