My Super Six is hitting on all eig....six

So my 71 Duster with a 225 Super Six was running just awful to say the least, since it will be getting the 408 stroker motor at some point in time, I still drive this when its nice out, so I wanted to get it running better.

Order a rebuild kit from Mike's Carbs, with the kit, his instruction sheets and his you tube video I was able to rebuild the BBD Carter 2 barrel carb.

I know for sure that I didn't set all the proper measurements when I rebuilt this carb a number of years ago, it was also missing the aluminum inlet baffle that goes right behind the needle and seat, so I made one up out of scrap aluminum.

I had member Halifax Hops put the dist up on his machine and spin test it for the advance curve.

I know it's suggested that you se the valves with it running, I set them at 12-22 cold, I will go back and set them running at some point in time, bought a couple of clear plastic fuel filters just to make sure I have no debris issues.

That being said, carb rebuild, dist checked out, and valves adjusted, new pcv valve and V/C Gasket, wow what i difference, thing purrs like a kitten, has 20" of vacuum at idle at 950, doesn't die when you put it in gear or turn the A/C on, power brakes work like they should.

Thing is fun to drive now, although it did backfire previously and put a hole in the muffler lol it's not really that loud just kinda annoying, one car done for the time being, onto the next.

Forgot, the right front oil pan bolt was loose, made a mess underneath, i'll take some gunk and the car wash and tune the underside up, no more drip pans yaaa
