Making power out of the 318

I mentioned the torque converter because the op said that he was going to use the 904 transmission that he already has. Of course if he gets a 5.9 and transmission he wouldn't have to worry about the converter. He'd be lucky if he found a 5.9 already swap over to a 4 barrel. I think that in my above post that I made some good pointers
IF he went with a 360 magnum (I hate "liter" designation) they changed the weights to be on the flex plate after 95, same converter as a 318 then. (Means he can use the existing 318 converter) just have to oval 1 hole a bit because they then got rid of the "1hole offset" way of mounting flex plate to converter.
I honestly never understood why they went to external balance on the 360, whether LA or magnum
