904 to A230 worth the effort?

I found a great deal on an A230 3 speed and it has me wondering. Is it worth the swap? The only downside that I see is that its still set up for column shift, so I would need to source a floor shifter for it.

This is my daily driver, and the main reason for the swap would be because I prefer a manual transmission.

I know this is a really old thread...but did you end up with this transmission setup? Reason I ask is that the linkage/shifter/mount on the trans is for 70 B, and it's not easy to find. I could use these parts. Thanks.
