IBM card data

Each column is numbered on the bottom 1-80.

The last 3 before the control number are 68/69/70, so the last 3 codes would be:
689 EXPORT/DLR. DEMO/SPECIAL HEADER > SPECIAL HEADER & TAG INSTRUCTIONS
693 SOLD/NCS/SPECIAL ORDER > MANUFACTURERS CERT/STATEMENT OF ORIGIN
704 SOLD CODES/INELIGIBLE FOR INCENTIVE > CORPORATE LEASING CAR-DIRECT LEASING
Are you trying to say that the column number is part of the Chrysler coding?

Well son of a *****....

The Plymouth sales man's guide on 70 Hamtramic historical says just exactly what @matthon is saying.
The column and the number in it directly translates to the item in the handbook.

It also answers a issue I found on my 2 IBM cards.

2 punches in the same column that did not equate to a character.

Dart #1

Column 47

It has a 1 and a 9

471 is CAP
479 is disk brakes

It has both!

My #2 dart has 2 numbers punched in column 48

A 3 and an 6 ( not traditional IBM punch card incoming)

483 is bumper guards front and rear.
And
486 is console with bucket seats

Dart #2 has both of those

Thank you thank you thank you @matthon
