very mild 360 build.

agree.. seems so many want to build 600hp motors any more.. not my thing for this car. this car is a cruiser and it needs to have good manners, be peppy, get decent mpg, not run hot or ping and be simple. needs to get up on the highway and cruise 75-80 mph. i think jamie will drive it much more this way. i thought about doing a 408 and decided if i was dropping that kinda money that i'd just go gen 3 hemi. in the end i didn't want to be bothered with all that. i have the 360 (multiple actually), knew how it ran, know it will be a fun car and look the way i and more improtantly jamie wants it to look under the hood with a mild 360.

to be honest when i had my yellow dart it ran 12.teens and was a blast around town, but i like going distances and with that motor and 3.91 gears it would go distances but it just wasn't "fun" for me.. when i hurt that motor and stuck this stock 360 in it with a 2.94 gear i enjoyed the car so much more.. it was surprisingly peppy and cruised anywhere i wanted easily. it got as good as 17mpg with a big 780 on it even ran well on 87 octane... i just wanted to freshen this motor up before dropping it in this dart. good thing i did. found 2 cam bearings in not too good a shape. so i'm sure this motor dressed basically the same as it was in the yellow car with a little cam, low gearset trans and 3.23 gears should be a bit more peppy and still cruise and be fun like i really want.
Perfect.
