Just a quick post on why as a head porter I like solid aluminum spacers over two inch ones.

Love your work John.

As a complete novice on intake porting, what would happen if you shortened the dividers a bit.

If I have a head say flowing 310cfm. If I can get it within say 6-10 cfm with a ported intake on it if feel I did a great job and that mod isn’t needed. On my Indy 360-1 intake I’m pretty sure I did slightly shorten the divider. ( I’d have to look as it’s been awhile). Remember engineers designed these intakes so my job isn’t to redesign it. Just work within their parameters. No matter what you aren’t going to get the same flow as the head. I test the inner ports because if I can get those to work the others are a cakewalk.
