Initial Torqueflite tear down findings
B&M valve body mods as found:
- Line pressure spring was heavier than stock (natural color)
- 1-2 shift valve spring had been replaced (blue color)
- Found the typical valve body drilled wall and check ball delete.
- Separator plate looked unmodified, but I didn't have a stock plate to compare.
I set the line pressure adjust plate to 1-5/16" and I'm going to use this valve body as is. Kick down lever to valve gap set at 3/16". I'm going to start making some calls to have the converter refurbished, my thinking is that it should be about 1/2 the price of a new custom build. We'll see how it goes.
