1972 Dodge Colt

I got out to Xtreme last night, they were PACKED!
Best (best?) time last year was a 8.9 @ 77 mph.
Both runs last night were better, much better.
1st run was 8.7 @ 85 mph. 2 tenths and 8 miles better.
2nd run was 8.49 @ 87 mph, almost 10 mph better than last years best.
Both runs were done with no burnout, drove around the water.
Slick tire pressure was up to 18 vs 16 last years last run.
Dumped clutch and had pretty bad bog out the hole but picked up better after that.
Guy behind me said it jumped to the right on launch.
I shifted into 4th a little bit before the 1/8 marker because I was into the limiter.
I thought for a millisecond about leaving it in third but shifted.
That might have been good for the mph number.
60 foots were bad, 2.2, but that I think is my poor launches and the bog.
My best 60 last year was a 1.9, so that is 2 tenths I am leaving on the table.
But they should be better than that.
I think my driving skills are getting a little better, I was aware of a few more things as they happened.
So plenty of good stuff, and plenty of stuff to improve.

At the track last night, there was the guy from Street Outlaws TV shows doing some testing.
The Crow who used to run the pontiac cars but has a cadillac now.
Don't know if he is still running a pontiac engine, but he does use nitrous.

But better than that there was a guy there who had a Glidden Tribute Arrow.
He bought it a few years ago out of WI when it ran the Nostalgia Pro Stock Series.
