It's funny when you call vintage air they don't know what the BTU's of their units are LOL... I'd say 12000-14000...
Why dose a 8000 BTU unit cool an entire bedroom???..
A bedroom is Insulated and needs to go from 85° down to 68° and there's plenty of time..
A car can be 135° no insulation hot glass and from the time you get in and start the car you want it cooled down by the time you get to the end of the block...
My complete system from coldmaster was $500 and 23000 BTU's and the truck is cooled off by the end of the block...
But it's a "knee knocker"... (that's nowhere near anyone's knee...)
