Baffling in a valve cover is really important, and a lot of the aftermarket ones (let alone the stamped-Chinesium ones) don't have it. Poor or absent baffles will mean high oil consumption, fouled spark plugs, and pinging. Read up on this and how best to fix it (other than installing a stock valve cover with baffles, which is probably the best/easiest/least costly way) here. The linked page belongs to a company selling an adjustable/tunable PCV valve for $129. It's an interesting idea the vast majority of us probably would not benefit from. But the baffle article is worth a read.
