Looking: 10/12 Wide Wheels with 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 BS
It does not matter what brand. Of course, not a heavy wheel.
When we have a heads up race, we want to change
the 13.5 x 31 Radials to 10.5 Radials. Our Dana rear end
is so narrow that when we put the 10.5 radials on with our
5 inch back spacing, they would not let us run it because there
is a rule about how far in the tires can be in from the fenderwells
in Stock/SS. It may only go on once or twice a years, when a few
hundreds are vital and you want to take a chance on spinning the
smaller tires to gain an advantage. Most in our class run the smaller
tire constantly but our car is both generally faster and much heavier than
the combinations they race. We are factored at more HP = More Weight.
Hint: The shorter the axles and tubes are in the rear end, less rotating
weight you are spinning.
