No FACTORY installed forged pistons in 340's, ever. You may have had a 340 with forged pistons, but somebody besides Mound Road engine assembly plant put them in there.

forged will knock when cold ,on the engines i've seen them in
since i'm building a stock car don't think i need them
so these are the mounts ,one is welded ,not sure if they are the right ones to start with if so will get it fixed right
and my oil pump drive
so not engine related but bought a nice gts hood with trim and inserts
guy has a k-frame and 8 3/4 getting on sunday .....i'll see what else he has
