For the /6 folks

Many comments seem angry that anyone not-vetted by them enter their playground. I'm happy to see it and didn't see them insulting your/my toy. They even increased factory power by 200 HP and are interested in suggestions to do better. I think MPFI would be ideal with boost, but a high threshold which only a few have done (Pishta and now Gil Welding). I have a 1964 slant and drove a 1969 slant for decades, but little time to try much custom stuff.

I don't even know why drag-racers continue fussing over manufacturers and engines, since hard for a gas vehicle to beat an EV in a 1/8-mile race and even 1/4-mile (higher level of competition and risk), unless fabb'ed into a custom toy just for track. Ultimately it is about traction between tire and road at the start, and electric drive controls that much better, with instant response.
I don't really care who plays with what. The point you missed was that they didn't even act serious about it. As if the whole thing was somehow a joke since it was a slant 6. I encourage anyone's participation. I also have the right to my opinion. They acted like it was a joke. If you don't like that opinion, just move on by. The Power Nation build Gill Welding was involved in was much more serious and is the type thing I am looking for.
