I understand your frustration and don't agree with the way they handled the process. That said going to a 1.6 rocker with most La style heads will require clearancing the push rod hold and more than just a little.
I ordered some from Mancini and the pushrods fit fine, but the damn roller tips are too far out towards the edge of the valves. So those won't work either.
