It does work. I’ll see if I can find the stuff I used on my boat and let you know what it is. I had the carpet on the inside of the engine cover resting on the turbos. Covered it in tape and stapled it and the turbos don’t melt the carpet anymore. It worked fantastic. Top right corner in the pic.

It was heat shield tape from DEI products and I bought it from summit.
