8 3/4 to Dana 60

I had a friend who drove a 283/4sp on the street with 5.13s
I first put my Tina together with 5.38s, (and 14x32 tires) and it was too much, even for 1/8 mile. (Small block). It was quicker and faster after I put in 4.57s
(I kinda assumed it was a very small cube modified production class car, to run east coast 1/8 mile. )
Almost everything on the west coast was 1/4 mile stuff. Would need LOTS of rpm to make that gear work in a quarter!
The 68 Dart 440, 3100 pounds light, had 5.13s (538s one time but nothing changed) went thru 1/4 at 122 mph and 6800 rpm. 1/8 mile never got over 5000. My 70 Duster 340 running F/Stock will run 5.13s on 9x30 radials like all the other cars in the nation.
