Rear tack strip bolt sizes

Yes sort of. I'll get you a photo.

BTW what car. Barracuda and Dart are different.

And the year probably makes a difference too

67 Dart Convertible Top Replacement

Note that the bolts with the rectangular washers are in the sides only.

The ones with round washers on on the back only.

There are two (one on each side) that don't have washers and go through the smaller of the holes in the side strips
Thanks Dana. I've figured out a bit of that in the last few hours. It's disappointing that there is no picture (except for one generic one) in the service manuals. I could also find no listing for the tacking strips or the fasteners in the 68 book. However, I worked a parts counter at a Plymouth dealer in my youth and those books are notoriously hard to use.

It is a 68 Barracuda. The attached picture shows all the correct fasteners that I have. I didn't know about the screws in the two small holes on the sides. Glad you responded as I had put them in the pile to go into the spare bolts bin. Just as in your Dart pictures, they are sheet metal screws, although mine have captured washers.
I went back out to the other convertible and, oddly, but sure enough, there are no nuts at those locations. The screws thread into the sheet metal.

By my count, I need eight of the rectangular captured washer bolts, thirteen of the round capture washer bolts, and the two sheet metal screws.
Looks like I'm missing one rectangular and five round. Fortunately, AMK products makes the round washer screw in gold anodized form.

So now I have to find a rectangular washer screw. eBay? forums?

Robert
