When was the last time you saw one of these (mystery race engine purchase)

On the 509 cam thing. I used to tell customers, unless you plan on running engine in the last 500 RPM of the band all the time, the 484 was a better cam for 95% of street cars. Put in the 484/108 advanced a bunch and let it eat.

The fun part was the people that didn't listen, then got beat by the smaller cammed cars most of the time. Try talking someone into a J converter or similar when minimum wage was in the 3.35/hr range. A months worth of paychecks for a converter, nope. We gonna run the stock one. LOL
