The hood is usually raised somewhat in the middle and you may find that clears fine. Get modelling clay and put some in random locations on the lid and slowly close the hood. It will compress the modelling clay and tell all. Stop if you come into major resistance. I have a small block and an M1 intake with drop base air cleaner and it clears. one spot is a little close (one of the raised fins on this particular lid) but it works. (70’ duster)
