That’s an interesting idea. I like it.

I find though that the areas they usually hit is the front edges of a 14" aircleaner/element usually nearer to the passenger side. I think if the syringe idea was used it would only give the allowable height near the Center of the air cleaner where the hood itself is usually the highest
