You're right about the power pole scenario. I worked at the power company for 45 years, 28 of them as a lineman. Customers told us wrong location of septic tanks twice. One time, I drove a bucket truck over one that wasn't supposed to be there and busted it. We had to leave when a domestic squabble occurred when the husband got home after his wife called him to tell him what happened. The tank had dozens of rubbers floating at the top. He had a vasectomy before they moved there.....and they had the tank put in a year prior. :eek: The next time was when we were installing an underground service to a new house. They told us the tank was in the front yard, which was good since we had to go to the meter base on the back of the house. We were plowing in the service with a vibratory plow. We cut the septic tank in half! The builder had to eat that one.
