Headers that dont break the bank

It's always the "go Doug's or TTI crowd" and I agree they're nice. But, what the HELL did people use before those? You got it. Summit, Hedman, Flow Tec, Hooker and on and on. As long as your car sits at the stock ride height in the front with at least stock height front tires, you won't have a problem. The cheaper headers work fine.
That's kinda how I look at it, I can always upgrade later, I just want to get this car on the road so I can enjoy it this summer and possibly win an "in progress or under construction" trophy at some car shows. I do intend to lower my car at some point but I can always modify them if I need too. I wonder if anybody makes a DIY header kit to build your own
