Thanks. That is the process I did on my hot rod. I need ~57" and thought of a new one from scratch. 4" rated for 7400 should be fine - I think. Just much more expensive. Not many at wrecking yards here. They wreck them all when fork lifting the vehicles in the yard.
The yards here are littered with dodge trucks. I went yesterday looking for a harness for a vss and had my choice of three different 2001 model 2500s. Lucky.
