1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

Ran the Dart on Engine Stands. Ran it in gear. No noise? 92 year old dad is pointing to the universal joints. As good a guess as I have. No noise from the rear or suspect brake drum. I hope to get it back on the road and have an extra set of ears listening. Being under a load can replicate the noise and having the suspension on the ground makes a difference. Can a universal joint make a noise like a tire going down?
