National Moparts - heads up, they have no power.

At work our plant was on NG gen for a week. And throughout distribution were on diesel or UPS backups.(shitty ones)When I was working I could see transformers and lines sparking. Shitty but cool to see at same time. Considering the "devastation" they got power back in great time. Kudos to all the linesman and contractors.
This time around our little 2000 watt inverter couldn't keep up as we needed the furnace, and sump pump, TV, wifi, fridge, freezer and HW tank. Did a temporary rewire on furnace to run off ext cord.
Wnt through some hoops to get a new bigger one. Another Champion from Canadian Tire, they had 19 online i spotted while at work. Sold out online by the time I got off work 7 hours later. Put us on a list and went and picked up later Tues. 5 minutes putting together and running.
Now we're "ready" for the next time. :rolleyes: :popcorn:
