The tear down continues....
One of the cam bearings worn through to the block. Fortunately, it doesn't look like in wore away at the block.
Cam bearing surface looks okay with no visible damage.
What would cause one cam bearing to wear through like this?
I measured the old head gasket; it came out to be .0327" at the compressed fire ring area and .0391" at the non-compressed area.
The original timing chain had almost an inch of deflection

That's not the Block but rather the Inside of the Bearing Shell... They have a Protective Coating on them.
