I didn’t think about tracks in TX, but I forgot about Baytown shutting down their track.

I’ve been driving the car for a year without the nitrous kit, but I haven’t rev’d it through all the gears or even a launch. I had 225 BF’s on it originally and it would just blow the tires off of it.

My 64 Nova only had a bone stock crate 350 in it…so the power difference is significant with the Barracuda.

I'm thinking it's going to take you a while to get it sorted out traction/tune wise. Besides that, don't skimp on safety equipment and I would strongly recommend you get at least a 6 point roll bar or better yet a full cage and a trans blanket and shield. By the way, if your racing on a prepped track(glued), your 8 3/4 is going to have a limited life span.
