~450hp from stock stroke 340?

Well, I suppose I can test that on my engine if I really want to know but it’s a giant PITA to change the pan on the dyno and add the crank scraper and get it sealed.

The scraper makes it so you don’t use any gaskets so that’s a PITA all its own.

I’ll think about doing the testing though.

This I do know. My oil pressure on the exact same engine with the exact same parts except adding the scraper made my idle pressure go up by 10 pounds both hot and cold.

I use an up and down scraper, plus a windage tray.
When you mentioned the 500 HP 327 I couldn't help but think of Grumpy's discussion about oil winding itself around the rotating assembly. I fabricated a perforated windage tray for my 340 in a effort t see any improvement in oil scavenging, but I haven't needed to swap out a motor yet. Who makes the scrapers for your application.
