Yeah well with a 3500 stall, you never use the bottom end anyway. I'd have no problems giving it away. I'll grab a couple of hundred on the top any day with that 4.30 gear.
Even did it on a 2800, and it worked just fine.
Even did it on a 292/292/108 cam, with 11.3Scr. But that cam was just too big for my application, period. It wasn't in there very long. My current 276/286/110cam was installed straight up, and I left it there. I also still have way more bottom end than the chassis can deal with.
