**** sake, it's an experiment. When the converter flashes to 3000 plus, the bit of effect on the bottom end should be a non issue. Maybe the extra couple hundred RPM at the top end will be a benefit, maybe it won't, but at least I'll know. And for the cost of a couple gaskets and a splash of RTV, It's a cheap experiment. I am not arguing that it will or won't benefit me, and I never said I wanted to soften the hit. I'm just trying something.
