Will a beefed up '78 lil red express express engine tear up a stock 727 torqueflight?
We put over 800 HP in front of ours in a 3800 lb. small block car.
Also Our truck had a blower with a stock 727 . It would turn all four 38 inch diameter tires.
Never broke the transmissions in our trucks. Not even ramming the snow banks Plowing with the plow truck. A properly built 727 usually handles what ever you throw at it. Converter choice is critical. Install a lighter governor and Part throttle kick down valve to help raise shift points.
